We are furthermore assisting MedWet with policy and lobby work for Mediterranean Wetlands. Finally SaafConsult is very actively pursuing circular economy (waste water re-use for industry and municipalities) business in Morocco.
Third Party Monitoring and Evaluation (TPM) TA 9396-AFG: Second Support for Infrastructure Investments and Policy
SaafConsult has been contracted by Dynamic Vision (DV) to carry out project implementation reviews of the Afghanistan “One Transport and One Energy project.” SaafConsult provided critical data regarding contract management, quality of civil works, asset verification, equipment specifications, adequacy of supervision consultant, the security environment, presence of security personnel, and additional evidence about whether projects are being implemented according to the implementation plan.
SaafConsult has been contracted by Dynamic Vision (DV) to assist with strengthening the capacity of the Afghan Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Corporation (AUWSSC) Headquarters (HQ), six of their Strategic Business Units (SBUs), and the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing (MUDH) to expand and improve access to sustainable water and sanitation services through an integrated program of assessment, planning, capacity building, infrastructure and equipment support.
Evaluation of the water and sanitation portfolio of the African Development Bank in Mali from 2005-2019
SaafConsult has been contracted by the Independent Development Evaluation (IDEV) to assist the African Development Bank (AfDB).
In accordance with its 2016-2018 work program approved in December 2015, IDEV is implementing the evaluation of the Bank’s 2005-2019 Strategies and Programs (ESPP) in Mali, in order to serve as a basis for the Council’s decision. To this end, SaafConsult has provided a water and sanitation expert.
SaafConsult has been appointed by IUCN ROWA and the OPEC Fund for International Development to assess implementation and performance of the “Introducing Renewable Energy to Combat Poverty and Improve Livelihoods and Environmental Conservation in Palestinian Rural Areas” Project. SaafConsult has prepared an evaluation work and debriefed about its findings IUCN ROWA in order to ensure that this project will improve the economic well-being of Palestinian men and women and decrease environmental degradation while enhancing environmental conservation at large.
SaafConsult through its partner dev~consult, was awarded parts of the review of the Water Governance Domain for the period 2010 – 2018 in Pakistan
SaafConsult has been asked by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) to review and to derive learned lessons from the SDC’s program in the domain of Water Governance since the year 2010/11 (post-flood 2010) in Pakistan Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and merged districts. The review evaluated how three projects in the fields of Water Governance and Local State-Building contributed to increasing the resilience of the water and sanitation sector and the Pakistani population.
