Provision of a regional coordinator for the Himalayan Region Water and Nature Initiative of the World Conservation Union (IUCN). Main tasks included coordination of works of 12 partners in Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Nepal and China, monitoring of progress, synthesis of outputs and finalisation of outputs. Main technical foci were environmental flows, integrated watershed management and payment for watershed services in the Himalayan Region.

Provision of an Institutional and organisational consultant for the “Decision Support System for Administration of Contracts Unit Project” at the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation (NEDA).
Provision of a consultant for the supervision mission of the Technical Assistance Grant for the International Development and Research Centre (IDRC) - Regional Water Demand Initiative (WaDImena) (IFAD).
JORDAN
Provision of a consultant for the supervision mission of the Technical Assistance Grant for the International Centre for Agriculture Research in Dry Areas (ICARDA) – Community-Based Optimization of the Management of Scarce Water Resources in Agriculture in West Asia and North Africa (IFAD).
Provision of a team leader for a study entitled "Assessment of Water Use Efficiency for the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan ". This 6 month study, in cooperation with CEC Sajdi & Partners, endeavoured to provide added value to key water resource management issues for Jordan. Main foci were transboundary water management, institutional reform, water governance, water valuation and agricultural water use.

Provision of a senior consultant for a project entitled, “Engaging Civil Society in Water Management in the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean Region”, managed by Wetlands International and funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).
NEAR EAST-NORTH AFRICA
Provision of a water management consultant for the review of the IFAD strategy for rural water for agriculture and livelihoods in the Near East-North Africa (NENA) region (IFAD).
  PAKISTAN
Provision of a Water Resources Management Specialist for “Study III – Environmental Concerns of the Four Provinces”. Provided intermittent inputs on institutional aspects of water resource management and environmental flows (Government of Pakistan).
Provision of a consultant to work on the development and refinement of water policy reform objectives for the Indus Basin in Pakistan. The scope of consideration included the range of water policy areas, including: the national and provincial water resources management policy and institutional framework; policies relating to allocation of water, in particular in the agricultural sector; water infrastructure management policy; and environmental flows policy (WWF UK and WWF Pakistan).
Provision of a consultant to the World Conservation Union (IUCN) for the development of a National Water Programme for Pakistan. Main focus was on application of the ecosystems and livelihoods approach of IUCN within the framework of contemporary issues in the water sector in Pakistan.
INDIA
Provision of a consultant for the development of a Monitoring and Evaluation system for the Sustainable Cotton Initiative of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).
Provision of a team leader (category I) for the Joint Review Mission of the State Partnership Programme between the EC and the Government of Rajasthan, specialised in integrated water resources management and water policy.

Provision of a resident team leader for the KfW Development Bank financed, “Rehabilitation of Urban Water Supply in the Sava River Basin”. Main foci are improvement of collection efficiency, reduction of unaccounted for water and a tariff review.
SYRIA
Provision of an Institutional Development Expert for the Advisory to the Regional Water Establishment Damascus Rif for the General Establishment of Drinking Water and Sewerage in the Rural Provinces of Damascus (GTZ).
Provision of a senior institutional development expert for the formulation and operationalisation of performance indicators for the water supply and sanitation sector in Syria.
MACEDONIA
Provision of an Institutional Development Expert for the preparation of a Public Relations Action Plan for Vodovod I Kanalizacija (Water and Wastewater Utility) in Prilep (KfW).
  VIETNAM
Provision of a consultant for supervising and advising on the final stage of the construction of a wastewater treatment plant and sanitation canals, including the modification of a sludge pond in Dao Xa Village in Bac Ninh Province, Vietnam (Development Worldwide and RNE).

Development of a multi-year project proposal on community-based indigenous forestry using ecologically and economically viable species) in Eastern and North-Eastern Thailand, together with the development of carbon trading for community development through the Voluntary Carbon Standard.
Development of a report on the “Lessons Learned in Post-Crisis Recovery Monitoring: 3rd Regional Tsunami Recovery Impact Assessment and Monitoring System (TRIAMS) Workshop” from 25-27 February 2009 in Bangkok, Thailand (International Federation and the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies).
Development of a report for the American Red Cross M&E meeting from 18-20 March 2009, and development of a wiki-based report for the American Red Cross M&E workshop from 15-17 September 2009.
