Provincial Strategy for Inclusive and Sustainable Urban Growth. Package A: Sector Road Map, Regional Development Plans, and Trainings and Knowledge Products

The purpose of the project is to contribute to the development of a sustainable blueprint of (urban) KPK province through the identification and outlining of key-strategies, principles and actions to be undertaken in order to prepare the whole province to become resilient, inclusive and smart.

The project outputs include the preparation of a “provincial urban planning framework” to pave the way to a future sustainable development of cities in KPK. The urban framework will be tested in two main urban hubs: Greater Peshawar and Greater Abbottabad, and followed up in Mardan. Peshawar and Abbottabad are representative in terms of urban characteristics for other cities in KPK. In so doing, the urban development framework can be tested on these two case studies and then used as a replicable model of sustainable planning for other cities of the province.

We have been working in: Bosnia and Hercegovina, Czechia, FYR Macedonia, Hungary, Italy, Moldova, Romania, Slovak Republic, Spain, Ukraine.
