On behalf of AEIDL SaafConsult made available Ele Jan Saaf as transboundary water expert for the Communities for Climate Change (C4C) programme of the European Union. Ele Jan worked with colleagues in Hungary and Romania on the Bihor-Kis-Sárrét region where increasing droughts affect agricultural and touristic interests, and where cooperation between communities on both sides of the border can mitigate impacts of changing weather patterns.

SaafConsult previous work for Oxfam GB was so well received that it convinced their Media Campaign to look at more angles of water security and climate change. SaafConsult will investigate the impact of climate change on food security and disease diffusion in Iraq, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia, and Burkina Faso.

SaafConsult has been asked to support AGT SpA on a intervention financed by the EU in the Sustainable management of Natural Resources and resilience sector. SaafConsult will provide an independent assessment of the performance of the Support to the ICM in Lesotho, paying particular attention to its different levels of results measured against its expected objectives; and the reasons underpinning such results; key lessons learned, conclusions, and related recommendations to improve current and future interventions.
